BIG APPLE FRITTERS

Two cups of all-purpose flour

Two tablespoons of sugar

Two tsp baking powder

Half a teaspoon of salt

One cup of milk

One huge egg

One teaspoon of vanilla extract

Two medium apples, cut and peeled

Oil made from vegetables for frying

Sugar from confections, for dusting

INSTRUCTIONS:

Mix the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt in a big bowl.

Whisk the milk, egg, and vanilla extract in a another basin.

Mix just until mixed after adding the wet components to the dry ingredients.

Add the diced apples and fold gently.

In a large saucepan or Dutch oven, heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil over medium-high heat until a deep-fry thermometer registers 375°F (190°C).

Avoid packing the pan too full as you drop spoonfuls of the fritter batter into the hot oil.

The fritters should be cooked for two to three minutes, or until golden brown.

Transfer the fritters to a plate lined with paper towels to drain using a slotted spoon.

Serve the warm fritters after dusting them with powdered sugar.

ENJOY
