Apple Cake Recipe

 

Ingredients:

 

3 apples, sliced into wedges

 

150 g (3/4 cup) sugar

 

2 eggs

 

100 ml (1/2 cup) milk

 

100 ml (1/2 cup) vegetable oil or melted butter

 

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

 

200 g (1 1/2 cups) flour

 

1 teaspoon baking powder

 

Pinch of salt

 

For the caramel topping:

 

100 g (1/2 cup) sugar

 

2 tablespoons butter

 

Make caramel:

 

Melt sugar in a pan until golden, then add butter. Pour into your cake pan and arrange apple slices on top.

 

Prepare batter:

 

In a bowl, whisk eggs and sugar. Add milk, oil, and vanilla. Mix well.

 

Dry ingredients:

 

Add flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix until smooth.

 

Assemble:

 

Pour the batter over the apples in the pan.

 

Bake:

 

Bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 35–40 minutes.

 

Flip & serve:

 

Let cool slightly, then flip the cake so the apples are on top. Serve warm
