Onion Peel Tea Recipe

Onion peels are considered rich in Quercetin, a powerful antioxidant that helps reduce inflammation.

 

Ingredients:

Peels of two onions (Red or yellow onions are preferred; they must be clean and mold-free).

1.5 cups of filtered water.

Optional: 1 teaspoon of natural honey (to improve the taste).

Instructions:

Cleaning: Wash the onion peels thoroughly under running water to remove any dust or impurities.

Boiling: Place the water in a pot on the stove until it begins to boil.

Simmering: Add the peels to the boiling water, then reduce the heat and let them simmer for 5 to 10 minutes until the water turns a reddish-brown color.

Straining: Remove the pot from the heat and strain the liquid into a cup.

Serving: You can sweeten it with honey and drink it while warm.

Moderation: It is preferred to drink only one cup per day; overconsumption is not recommended.
